Sir William Henry Wills                     1830-1911 William was born on 1 September 1830, the son of William Day Wills and Mary Steven, at Bristol, Gloucestershire. He married Elizabeth Perkins Stancomb in 1853. William was created a baronet in 1892. He was the key player in the forming of in 1901, and became it's chairman, a position he held until his death in 1911. Sir William was elevated to Baron Winterstoke of Blagdon in 1906, and was then referred to as Lord Winterstoke. Elizabeth Perkins Stancomb               1831-1896 Elizabeth was born on 6 November 1831, the daughter of John Stancomb and Mary Perkins, in London. They did not have any children.

The Times, Thursday, Feb 13, 1896,   OBITUARY   LADY WILLS, who died very suddenly at East Court, St Lawrence-on-Sea, on the 10th inst., was Miss Elizabeth Stancomb, daughter of Mr. John Stancomb, of Trowbridge, Wilts, and was married in 1853 to Sir William Henry Wills, M.P.
